There has been a bookshop at this location since 1939,
at first run by my Grandfather Leonard Miles
and then by my father Patrick Miles when he returned after service in Lancasters against Hitler.
On his retirement he sold the business but kept the premises, receiving rent from the continuing bookshop businesses.
Many locals continued to call it 'Miles Bookshop'!
